11. Wage and Self-Employment; Unemployment

Data are available on the number (rate) of unemployed workers, as well as the self-employed. As indicated above, these individuals may not be easily reached through traditional means. Furthermore, the self-employment may have needs for information that differ considerably from the needs of wage-and-salary employees. Examples include information on retirement, health insurance, access to capital and markets for their products, etc.
