      The Delaware Cooperative Extension web site offers information on extension programs in the areas of agronomy, beekeeping, integrated pest management, home gardening, human resources (family and household management), and poultry and livestock. Each subject area includes more detailed, organized information arranged by subject.  The site includes information about the extension system, the Delaware extension office and its staff, and Delaware weather. Extension columns focusing on agriculture, traffic, and safety issues are also available on the web site. The site includes a list of agriculture and extension related links.

      The Delaware Small Business Development Center is a program of the College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware, serving small business entrepreneurs with start-up and general business information.  The center's web site offers information about the Small Business Development Center, its staff, and its programs. Visitors can search the online catalog of the center's library of business information, organized under the following subject headings: start-up guides, business plan guides, marketing guides, financial guides, management and personnel guides, reference guides, and recruitment, training, and development. The site also includes other resources, both online and at the center, on training, economic studies, business publications, counseling, and referrals.  The site also includes an extensive list of business related links, organized under a variety of subject headings. The links page also includes links for information on upcoming events.

    The Delaware State Chamber of Commerce has 3,400 members statewide, and serves to promote a strong economic climate in the state through legislative advocacy, publications, small business services, and networking events.  The chamber's web site includes information about government affairs, education, membership, public policy, small businesses, tourism, and international trade. It also includes information about Business Journal, the chamber's monthly magazine devoted to business and economic development. Selected articles from the journal are available on the web site.

    Delaware's official state home page includes information on state and local governments, law, weather, communities, travel and tourism, business development, education, and history. Information is accessible through subject guides or through a list of quick links.  State agencies are listed alphabetically, and links are provided to county and community pages. The site includes a variety of economic development information, including pages pertaining to local and state agencies and offices, information on specific industries, financial information for businesses, demographic information, and publications. A newsletter, Delaware Economic Developments, is available online in PDF format (issues prior to 1999 are in HTML format).  The site includes as State Data Center, which provides current census data for research and planning.  The site also includes a calendar of events (not currently updated), a list of links to sites of interest to Delaware and citizens and visitors.

    The Department of Agriculture is a state agency providing consumer assistance, marketing and education assistance, forestry management, and regulatory services for the state's agriculture industry. The web site includes information on agency programs in food products inspection, forestry, animal health, farmland preservation, pesticide regulations, agriculture compliance, and Delaware agricultural products.  The site also includes recent press releases and consumer tips, as well as contact information.

    The Delaware Department of Natural Resources is a state agency overseeing the management of natural resources in the state. It includes divisions focusing on soil and water, water resources, air and waste management, fish and wildlife, and parks and recreation.  The web site includes information on each division, including programs and contact information. It also provides general information about the Department of Natural Resources, including contact information, and information on department programs, organized by general subject area. It also includes information about the department's magazine, Outdoor Delaware, including summaries of issue contents.  The site provides a list of links to other sites, organized by subject, both within Delaware and on the federal level.

    The Central Delaware Economic Development Council serves Kent County, the middle of the three Delaware Counties. Its web site offers information on available business sites, community information, utilities, and area demographic information. The site includes links to other sites relating to Kent County economic.

    The Delaware Economic Development Office is a state agency overseeing Delaware's tourism and economic development programs. The office's web site includes news briefs; information for tourists; general state data, including demographics and statistical overviews; a guide to the office's program initiatives; and information on partner organizations. The site also offers extensive information on Delaware's workforce, including demographics, workforce conference information, publications (which may be ordered from the office), and state workforce initiatives.  The site also includes some publications in PDF and Power Point formats; a calendar of economic development events related to Delaware; and extensive links to other relevant sites in the state and federal governments.

    The Delaware Housing Coalition advocates safe, decent, affordable housing throughout the state, including many projects and publications which focus particularly on the problem of substandard rural housing in Delaware.  The coalition's web site includes information about the coalition, coalition projects, and publications. It includes statistical and legal information, as well as information on tenants' rights and grassroots activism. The site also includes the coalition's magazine, Housing Journal, online. The site also offers links to other organizations working for the same goals.  Information is also available in Spanish, as are all Housing Journal issues starting with Fall 1999.

    The Kent County web site offers general information on the county government and community activities, including a tourism and event calendar. The site also includes frequently updated news items. A list of other Delaware links is available.

  • Manufacturing Extension Partnership, Delaware  www.demep.org
    The Delaware Manufacturing Extension Partnership is a non-profit resource organization offering technical and business assistance to 1,000 smaller manufacturers in Delaware. Its web site includes information on services, stories of manufacturers and the assistance they received from the partnership, links to partners, and an online newsletter.

    New Castle County's web site includes general county information for citizens and information on tourism, demographics, business and economic development, transportation, public safety, and history and historical sites. The site also includes news and announcements, offers access to the library catalog online, and includes area maps available online. It also includes weather, contact information, and some county publications available online.

    The Delaware Community Reinvestment Action Council is a non-profit community reinvestment planning and citizens' advocacy group. Through education, advocacy, and legislation, the council strives to ensure that underserved communities' financial and banking needs are met.  The council web site offers information about the council, its project, and organizational makeup. It includes informational links in education, legislation, and advocacy, as well as general information about the Community Reinvestment.

    The Delaware Small Business Resource Partnership is a consortium of federal, state, and nonprofit agencies that assist small businesses in Delaware. The web site provides a list of agencies, with contact information, along with a brief description of the services they provide.
