River Watershed Council
Description:
Founded in 1952, the Connecticut River Watershed Council (CRWC) is the
only broad-based citizen advocate for the environmental well-being of
the entire Connecticut River. Our primary mission is to promote improvement
of water quality and the restoration, conservation, wise development and

Gulf
of Maine Council on the Marine Environment
Description:
The Gulf of Maine Council on the Marine Environment is a U.S.-Canadian
partnership of government and non-government organizations working to
maintain and enhance environmental quality in the Gulf of Maine to allow
for sustainable resource use by existing and future generations. We organize
conferences and workshops; offer grants and recognition awards; conduct
environmental monitoring; provide science translation to management; raise
public awareness about the Gulf; and connect people, organizations, and

Municipal Association
Description:
The Massachusetts Municipal Association is a nonprofit, nonpartisan association
that provides advocacy, training, publications, research and other services
to Massachusetts cities and towns. The MMA is the only statewide organization
that brings municipal officials together to establish unified policies,
to advocate these policies, and to share information that increases the

Description:
The Massachusetts Rural Development Council, Inc., (MRDC) a not for profit
corporation, serves as a partnership between the national government,
Massachusetts state government, municipalities, private for-profit and
private not-for-profit sectors to provide development opportunities for
rural Massachusetts residents. It is dedicated to improving the quality
of life in rural Massachusetts while preserving the characteristics that

Description:
The Blackstone Valley Institute is a "virtual" organization
created to help local communities plan for the future. Offering workshops,
one-to-one consulting, local seminars, and technical assistance, the Institute

New
England Transportation Consortium
Description:
The NETC was formed as a regional approach to developing innovative solutions
to common transportation problems among the New England states. Its purpose
is to pool the financial, professional and academic resources of the region
and to use them to research and develop improved methods of dealing with
common problems in the planning, design, construction, maintenance, rehabilitation,
reconstruction and operation of transportation systems in the participating
states. The program is intended to supplement, not to replace, ongoing
state and federal research activities and other national programs such
