Description: In 1999, the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT), in coordination with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the New York State Historic Preservation Office (NYSHPO), initiated a statewide inventory of historic bridges. The three-year project updates a previous inventory of pre-1925 bridges conducted in the 1980s.

Description: Directions on how to get ahold of this 82 volume loose-leaf publication containing all rules and regulations adopted by state agencies, miscellaneous boards and authorities and the Judiciary. The NYCRR and supplementation of new and amended pages is available from Lawyers Cooperative Publishing, a member of the West Group, at 1-800-344-5009 and is currently not available online.

Heritage Conservancy

Description: Heritage Conservancy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving our natural and historic heritage. Founded in 1958, it was concern for the rapid loss of open space in Bucks County which led to the formation of the Bucks County Park Foundation, known today as Heritage Conservancy.

Hudson River Valley Greenway

Description: The Hudson River Valley Greenway is an innovative state sponsored program created to facilitate the development of a voluntary regional strategy for preserving scenic, natural, historic, cultural and recreational resources while encouraging compatible economic development and maintaining the tradition of home rule for land use decision-making. Through voluntary participation in the Greenway community planning program, communities in thirteen counties in the Hudson River Valley can receive technical assistance and funding for local land use planning projects which support the goals of the Greenway program.
