Conservancy Description: Heritage Conservancy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving our natural and historic heritage. Founded in 1958, it was concern for the rapid loss of open space in Bucks County which led to the formation of the Bucks County Park Foundation, known today as Heritage Conservancy. River Valley Greenway
Description:
The Hudson River Valley Greenway is an innovative state sponsored program
created to facilitate the development of a voluntary regional strategy
for preserving scenic, natural, historic, cultural and recreational resources
while encouraging compatible economic development and maintaining the
tradition of home rule for land use decision-making. Through voluntary
participation in the Greenway community planning program, communities
in thirteen counties in the Hudson River Valley can receive technical
assistance and funding for local land use planning projects which support
