Chesapeake
Bay Commission
Description:
The Chesapeake Bay Commission is a tri-state legislative commission which
advises the General Assemblies of Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania
in cooperatively managing the Chesapeake Bay. Since 1980, the Commission
has been a catalyst for a number of important advances in the Chesapeake
Bay Program and the states by developing and pursuing initiatives related
to fisheries management, toxics reduction, land use, agricultural nutrient
management, natural resource protection and nutrient-load reduction, among

Description:
The Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) is the largest conservation organization
dedicated solely to saving the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Our motto, Save
the Bay, defines the organization's mission and commitment to reducing
pollution, improving fisheries, and protecting and restoring natural resources

River Basin Commission Description: A breakthrough in water resources management occurred in 1961 when President Kennedy and the governors of Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York for the first time signed concurrent compact legislation into law creating a regional body with the force of law to oversee a unified approach to managing a river system without regard to political boundaries. Valley Regional Planning Commission Description: Established in 1965, the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) provides comprehensive, coordinated planning for the orderly growth and development of the bi-state region. This region includes Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties in Pennsylvania; and Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Mercer in New Jersey. DVRPC's mission is to proactively shape a comprehensive vision for the region's future growth. Department
of Environmental Protection Description: The Water Planning Office coordinates Pennsylvania's responsibilities as a member of interstate river basin organizations and develop strategies to utilize established river basin commissions and interstate association as vehicles to advance partnerships. This Office encourages and promotes multi-state cooperation to solve common problems. It works to implement existing policies of the Commonwealth in a consistent manner; links economic progress, watershed management, and sustainability; and strengthens both the relationships and visibility of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection with interstate and intrastate organizations and the communities they serve. Description:
The Great Lakes Information Network (GLIN) is a partnership that provides
one place online for people to find information relating to the binational
Great Lakes-St. Lawrence region of North America. GLIN offers a wealth
of data and information about the region's environment, economy, tourism,
education and more. Thanks to its strong network of state, provincial,
federal and regional partner agencies and organizations, GLIN has become
a necessary component of informed decisionmaking, and a trusted and reliable
source of information for those who live, work or have an interest in

Commission on the Potomac River Basin
Description:
The Interstate Commission on the Potomac River Basin (ICPRB) is an interstate
compact commission established by Congress in 1940 to help the Potomac
basin states and the federal government to enhance, protect, and conserve
the water and associated land resources of the Potomac River basin through

Ohio
River Basin Commission
Description:
The Ohio River Basin Commission's purposes are to: provide a forum for
the Ohio River Basin States to study, discuss, and develop regional policies
and positions on common interstate issues concerning water and related
land resources; coordinate water and related land resources planning in
the Ohio River Basin; provide representation of the regional interests
of the Basin before the Congress and federal agencies responsible for
the planning, development, and management of water and related land resources
in the Basin; and investigate, study, and review water-related problems

Ohio
River Valley Water Sanitation Commission
Description:
Since 1948, ORSANCO and its member states have cooperated to improve water
quality in the Ohio River Basin so that the river and its tributaries
can be used for drinking water, industrial supplies, and recreational
purposes; and can support a healthy and diverse aquatic community. ORSANCO
operates monitoring programs to check for pollutants and toxins that may
interfere with specific uses of the river, and conducts special studies

Potomac
Watershed Partnership
Description:
The Potomac Watershed Partnership is a large-scale restoration and stewardship
project focused on the Potomac River watershed. Its mission is to create

the health of the land and waters of the Potomac River Basin. This will
enhance the quality of life and overall health of the Chesapeake Bay,
